On October 31st, the Indian students of Medico Abroad Consultants pursuing MBBS at Gomel State Medical University in Belarus celebrated Diwali in traditional dressings and dances.

Students welcomed the Rector of Gomel State Medical University Dr. Igor Olegovich Stoma as Honourable Chief Guest. The university Dean, Vice Dean, Hostel wardens and teaching staff have all attended the celebrations. The festival of lights- Diwali is liked by all the faculty and every year holiday is granted to Indian students on this occasion.

Gomel State Medical University encourages international students to celebrate their national festivals and holidays, believing the introduction of various cultures is important to develop better understanding and unity among international students. Indian students from Medico Abroad prepared special dishes, decorated the hostels with lights and candles and celebrated the occasion dressed in traditional attire.
